Reporting Infringement
Protecting Intellectual Property and Rights on Impulse Tunes
At Impulse Tunes, we are committed to upholding intellectual property rights and ensuring a safe and lawful environment for all artists and users. If you believe that content distributed through our platform infringes upon your copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights, please follow the procedure outlined below to report it. We take all legitimate reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
1. Types of Infringement You Can Report
You can report content that you believe infringes upon your:
- Copyright: Unauthorized use of your musical compositions, sound recordings, lyrics, or artwork.
- Trademark: Unauthorized use of your registered trademarks (e.g., artist name, band name, logo).
- Privacy/Publicity Rights: Unauthorized use of your name, likeness, image, or personal information.
- Other Legal Rights: Any other content that violates applicable laws or your legal rights.
2. Information Required for Your Report
To help us process your report efficiently, please provide the following detailed information. Incomplete reports may delay our investigation.
A. Your Contact Information:
- Your Full Legal Name
- Your Company Name (if applicable)
- Your Email Address: contact@impulsetunes.com
- Your Phone Number (optional, but helpful)
- Your Full Mailing Address
B. Identification of the Allegedly Infringing Content:
- Direct Link(s) to the Content: Provide specific URLs to the infringing music or content on streaming platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok) or on the Impulse Tunes platform itself.
- Artist Name & Track/Album Title: Clearly identify the artist name and the specific track(s) or album(s) that contain the infringing material.
- Description of Infringement: Explain precisely how the content infringes your rights. For example: “This song uses an unauthorized sample from my track ‘XYZ’,” or “This artist is using my registered trademark ‘ABC’ as their artist name.”
C. Identification of Your Original Work (Proof of Ownership):
- Description of Your Original Work: Clearly describe your original copyrighted work, trademark, or the rights being infringed.
- Proof of Ownership/Rights: Provide evidence of your ownership or rights. This may include:
- Copyright registration number (e.g., from GHAMRO, Copyright Office)
- Link to your original work (e.g., official release on a legitimate platform, official website)
- Trademark registration number and jurisdiction
- Any other documentation proving your rights to the content.
D. Your Declaration (Required):
Please include the following statements in your report:
“I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted/trademarked/private material described above is not authorized by the copyright/trademark owner, its agent, or the law.”
“I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright/trademark owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
“I understand that submitting a false claim of infringement may result in legal consequences.”
3. How to Submit Your Report
Please send your complete report, including all the information requested above, to our dedicated infringement reporting email address:

Please use the subject line: “Infringement Report – [Your Artist Name/Company Name]”
4. Our Response to Your Report
Upon receiving a complete and valid infringement report, Impulse Tunes will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your report.
- Investigate the claim thoroughly.
- If the claim is found to be valid, we will take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the infringing content from our platform and notifying the party who uploaded it.
- We may also forward your contact information and the details of your claim to the user who uploaded the content, as required by law or platform policies.
Please be aware that the process of content removal from all DSPs can take several weeks, as it depends on their individual processing times.
5. Counter-Notification
If your content is removed due to an infringement report, and you believe it was removed in error or that you have the right to use the content, you may be able to submit a counter-notification. Details on this process will be provided if your content is affected.
6. Important Disclaimer Regarding False Reports
Submitting a false or misleading claim of infringement may have serious legal consequences, including liability for damages and attorneys’ fees. Only submit a report if you genuinely believe your rights have been infringed and you have the necessary information and legal standing to do so.
